60 minutes, eposode about anxiety

Did you know that 1 million Australians suffer from depression, and around 2 million suffer from anxiety?

On 60 minutes today there was an episode featuring anxiety and there were 3 people that suffered from anxiety, all differently.

Sarah was unable to cope with day to ay activities because of her irrational thinking. She didn’t have panic attacks.

The second person’s anxiety was displayed through anger. That is interesting, because I’d never heard of that, up until now.

And the last person, Megan, had agoraphobia. She hadn’t left her living room for 3 years.

I really believe that anxiety is like the common cold of mental health problems. It definatly is not talked about enough, and when people hear that you have anxiety, the first thing they generally say is, “Why are you anxious? What have you got to worry about?:

Or, there’s those people, who simply don’t believe it exists. They are the ones that are very narrow minded. Because as I said at the start of this post, over 2 million Australians suffer with it
